Australian Insurance Holdings, as an owner occupier, selected Dimond Architects to ‘purpose design’ the internal fit out of this large commercial space at Kawana Waters.
The fit out makes excellent use of open large planned offices and executive suites to comfortably house their complement of 260 employees. The entry to the building is through an extensively glazed, 3 storey high atrium space affording direct access to stairs: which is a deliberate strategy to encourage their use.
Internal spaces are articulated and visually and acoustically managed by use of permeable screen elements carefully located throughout each floor. The building internal plan layout and treatment of external glazing assists in achieving a light, open and climatically responsive environment through to the building’s core.
There are number of staff break out spaces which are differentiated thematically throughout the layout, including a well used café. |
